課本目錄妙用法
在讀初中課本時，最最關鍵的方法就是抓住目標，讀熟課本。課本有好幾百頁，好幾十萬字，這么大的信息量，如何攝取呢？顯而易見，我們不能平分精力，而應集中全力，抓住關鍵信息。什麼是課本中最關鍵最重要的信息呢？就是目錄。下面就具體說說如何利用目錄來讀課本：
一是憶，就是翻開目錄，看看自己是否能夠根據目錄，依序記憶各個章節裡面的內容，回憶起其中的概念、性質、法則、公式、數量關系和解題方法等。在憶的過程中，可以邊憶邊把知識的要點記在草稿紙上，以加深印象。憶不起來時，再打開書，翻看有關的內容。
二是說，就是在獨立回顧、記憶一番後，同學之間可以互相互述各個章節的基本知識、重點內容以及知識間的聯系與區別等，以此來起到相互啟發、相互補充、相互完善的作用。講的人固然是印象深刻，聽的人等於又重溫了一次。
三是寫，默寫目錄內容，看看自己是否記住了教材的主要內容，根據目錄知識寫下來。注意：寫時不一定機械的默寫目錄上的幾個標題，可以加上自己的歸納和創造，基本內容不錯不漏即可。
四是擴，所謂擴就是要自編一個補充目錄。因為教材的目錄僅列出每課的名稱，是一個比較粗略的目錄。不妨將每課的小標題抄下來，編成一個補充目錄。
課本內容精讀法
課本是同學們學習和考試的依據，考試的內容都在課本里，不管出的題怎樣變化，都跑不出課本這個范圍。在讀課本時一定要做到以下幾點：
1、不要走馬觀花，流於形式
課本不怕讀得慢，就怕只圖快，不求甚解。
2．不可憑自己的感覺，挑三揀四地去讀課本內容
覺得這個有可能考就讀，不考的就不讀。課本上每個字都是經過專家編寫的，必有它的有用之處。邊邊角角的地方，都要讀到。只有這樣，才能把知識印在腦子里,落實在做題目上。
3．不要感覺文科課本才要讀，理科課本不用讀
數學物理化學這些理科的課本，同樣需要仔細閱讀。概念、公式要讀，例題也要讀，把例題讀好了，也就讀出了解題思路。
4．讀課本時不要只注意大字、黑體字
無論是大字小字，還是注釋、引文、圖注、表格都應該讀到，這些知識也非常有用。
5．不要只滿足於讀一兩遍課本，覺得沒什麼可讀的了

二、 預 習
上了中學，功課難了，不預習可不行了。事實上就是預習了，有時候還聽不懂呢。更何況不預習呢？預習究竟能夠給我們的學習帶來多大的好處呢？

好處一：預習可培養同學們的自學能力和獨立思考能力
因為預習是自己獨立的接受新知識，需要自己獨立閱讀和思考。這就需要有較強的邏輯思維能力。在閱讀課本時，只有經過獨立思考，才能夠搞清思路、抓住要點，解決難點。預習時，有些地方沒有弄懂，聽課時就會受好奇心的驅使而格外得留心，一旦理解，印象就極為深刻了。有時在預習時，自己認為已經明白的內容，聽課時還會發現自己尚未完全理解，常引發進一步的思考，甚至會發現新的不理解的問題。這對深化學習和提高理解能力是非常有效的。
