镇江市实验高级中学的前身是江苏省镇江师范学校与镇江市第三中学高中部，于2001年整合组建而成。
镇江师范源于1917年创建的“江苏省立第九师范”，聘社会名流谢遐龄为首任校长，1932年改为“江苏省镇江师范学校”。著名美术教育家吕凤子曾在此任教，汉语言学家吴调公曾在此就读。1984年镇江市政府决定在城东花山上重建镇江师范学校。
镇江三中始建于1926年，最初为“镇江女子职业学校”，由著名爱国民主人士冷御秋任董事长，包洙为首任校长，后易名为“苏南镇江蚕桑学校”、“江苏镇江农业学校”，于1954年更名为“镇江市第三中学”。1978年学校被确立为镇江市重点中学。2008年晋升为四星级高中。
The History of Our School
Zhenjiang Experimental High School was made up of Zhenjiang Normal School and the Senior Department of No. 3 Middle School in 2001.
Zhenjiang Normal School dated from No. 9 Normal School of Jiangsu Province set up in 1917. A well-known man named Xie Xialin was the first president. In 1932, the school was renamed as Zhenjiang Normal School. Lv Fengzi, a famous art ecator, once worked here. Wu Diaogong , an expert of the Chinese Language later, was once a student here. In 1984, the government of Zhenjiang decided to rebuild Zhenjiang Normal School on the Hua Hill in the east of the city.
No. 3 Middle School of Zhenjiang was first built in 1926. Its original name was Zhenjiang Women’s Professional School. Leng Yuqiu, a famous patriot, acted as its first chairman and Bao Zhu another patriot was its first president. Later, its name was changed into Zhenjiang Silkworm Breeding and Mulberry Growing School and Zhenjiang Agricultural School in Jiangsu. In 1954, the name was changed again. That was No. 3 Middle School. In 1978, this school became a key school of Zhenjiang City.
